GASTROSCOPY (OGD)

This test will help to examine your upper GI tract - the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum to diagnoses certain conditions such as ulcers, inflammation, cancer or coeliac disease.  

FULL COLONSOSCOPY

A full colonoscopy is a procedure that examines the large bowel for conditions such as colon cancer, polyps or inflammation.

LEFT SIDED COLONOSCOPY

This is a limited examination of the bowel which does not require a full bowel preparation

CLINIC REVIEW

This is a consultation with one of our 5 gastroenterologists in rooms in 64 Eccles Street.

GI FUNCTION TESTING

A number of examinations can be performed without the need for a scope. These include urea breath testing to check for Helicobacter Pylori, 24 hour pH monitoring to assess for gastro -oesophageal reflux, and oesophageal manometry, to examine for certain muscular disorders of the oesophagus. These tests are carried out in the GI function laboratory in the main hospital. Please contact the office for further information about these tests.
